My Waiting Plan | Social Story and Activities
Waiting plans and strategies for how to wait are very important for children to develop as they move through elementary school. Some children need explicit instruction to learn how {and why} to wait.
- Do you have students who have a difficult time waiting?
- Do they engage in challenging behaviors when they have to wait?
- Do they get upset when someone else gets something or gets chosen first?
I have many students for whom this is a real struggle.
This resource includes 5 activities and 2 social stories that will help your students learn how and when to wait and what strategies will help them to wait. They will create a strategy plan that is just for them.
Activities included are differentiated and appropriate for children K-5th grade or ability level.
